As the cyclone hit its peak at 2 pm and the winds ferociously hit her ears, Sasha saw her mom tuck herself into the warmth of the blanket! Sasha, visibly petrified of the buzzing wind and the rains tearing onto the windows jumped on the bed and curled up. Curled up in her safe place. The safe place was right on the lady’s rested laps.

Sasha sees the lady as her safe place. Sasha will never go into the corner or hide under a table in any extreme weather condition. She will always find that safe haven near the lady.

That the Mother Elephant trusted the humans around. Did she fail as a mother? Shouldn’t she have been more careful? Was satisfying hunger the only motive or getting the right nutrition for the life inside of her?

That pineapple was supposed to be nutritious for the mother and the baby and definitely –  not a dose of cyanide!

We, as the human race have embraced planet Earth as our private property and fail to accommodate anyone else. The earth belongs to every plant and animal as much as it belongs to us. Maybe more. Maybe, much less for the human race.

Mother Nature is always hand-in-glove with the animals, humans are not even a priority.

Look at that Mother Elephant, as She takes the last few steps of Her life, She is watching at the humans. She drowns her eyes into the river to wash away the tears flowing. Every tear of that Motherly scream will gush into the lives of the humans who murdered Her.

Hey Ella Baby,

Maybe you didn’t see the world,
You may never see your herd!

We the humans, take the blame,
Hang our heads in shame!

We fed you a Pineapple,
Soon, very soon, for a drop of water, we shall scramble!

Everytime, I look at Sasha, I realize that the bond she has with me is something no two humans can have. She doesn’t expect anything in return, just love, cuddles and kisses. Every animal expects just that, they can go search for their food. Isn’t life a tad better if wrapped with love? Wrapped with emotions, compassion, empathy, and kindness. Animals tend to see that in humans. You pelt a stone at a dog, it’ll run away but if you feed it once, that dog will keep coming back even if it doesn’t get a morsel ever again but for that love and attention.

After all, food can be injected with bombs or poison.

Love is always pure!
